beco a wretched wife.

the ravening hawk pursuing,

the treling dove thus flies,

to shun ielling ruin,

awhile her pinions tries;

till, of escape despairing,

no shelter or retreat,

she trusts the ruthless falconer,

and drops beneath his feet.
