中英文画外音(英文弱，中文强)：The Great Bear Rainforest is nestled on the Pacific west coast of British Columbia, Canada. Having an area of about 2 million hectares, this is one of the largest tracts of temperate rainforest left in the world. From its name, one can imagine that there live bears in the rainforest. Not only bears, but also thousands of species of plants, more than 300 species of birds and animals live in this lush rainforest. Standing 1,000-year-old cedar and 90-metre tall Sitka spruce trees are common in the forest. The biological abundance and diversity of this rainforest is the result of over 10,000 years of evolution and very little human disturbances. 位于公主岛左(西)侧是黑凯特海峡(Hecate Strait)rdquo;，及其西侧为夏洛特女王群岛(Queen Charlotte Islands)rdquo;。

在公主岛的东侧就是著名的大熊雨林(Great Bear Rainforest)。

Each fall, numerous salmon make their way back to the streams on the valley bottoms to spawn, and provide food for magnificent creatures such as killer whales, eagles, wolves, black bears, grizzlies, and the rare and mysterious white Kermode Spirit bears.
